School concept:

With the beginning of a new era, the “era of start-ups” the technology in the area of IT and nanotechnology has been going further and further into a separate branch of its own, with special details and development trends specific to them.
As a result, the knowledge and approaches in education of the specialists that are involved in this area of work, who operate in it and collaborate with other specialists with similar background, requires to be just as easily adaptable as this whole area of expertise. It requires these specialists to employ the same non-standard, out-of-the-box solutions and approaches when dealing with their professional environment. Nowadays the market needs professionals who are very adapt in the next-generation technology and who are able not only to find quality solutions but are also versatile and are capable of doing it in a creative way.
In order to prepare such professionals universities and large companies look for new solutions and initiate new forms of collaboration.
One of the possible forms of such solutions is the creation and development of start-up schools in universities. Their goal would be to involve the students into the process of creating a product and commercializing the results of this intellectual endeavor while still in the process of completing their degree.
Main goals of ONPU International Start-up School (ONPU-ISS) are to increase the amount of practical and application content into the curriculum; grant access to new and emerging technology and technological trends through cooperation with the industry and work on corresponding projects; increase and facilitate the interaction between students and industry experts; select successful students to participate in the double diploma program with partner universities and others.
The length of the program depends on rate of completion of required credits and must not exceed two years. The program consists of the theoretical portion and a project. The curriculum program includes an international component, participation of an international partner university, company, supervisor or mentor for each of the projects.
Upon successful completion of the program the student will receive a certificate. Upon graduation form the school successful graduates will receive recommendations and endorsements to obtain double diplomas of the Master program from partner universities of ONPU.
The best projects can be recommended to the appropriate organizations that support innovative projects.
